1. GENERAL

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute will comply with System Policy 25.06, System Regulation 25.06.01.1 and with all applicable laws, regulations and executive orders related to Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs).

2. STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT

TTI subscribes to the philosophy and intent of Chapter 2161 of the Texas Government Code. TTI’s goal is to involve qualified HUBS in bidding opportunities for goods and services for all procurements made on behalf of the agency. The agency will advise all staff involved in purchasing at all levels on their responsibility to encourage HUB participation, how to solicit HUB businesses, and the need for regular reporting of progress in the HUB program.

3. ADMINISTRATION

The TTI Director or his designee will appoint the Institute’s HUB Coordinator, who, along with his/her staff, will administer the TTI HUB program in accordance with applicable State of Texas laws and statutes, The Texas A&M University System policies and regulations, and the agency’s Historically Underutilized Business Plan.
