Last fall, TTI participated in the biennial Survey of Employee Engagement administered by the Institute for Organizational Excellence at UT Austin. This survey is an excellent tool for benchmarking our performance. We recently have received the results of the survey and have posted them on MyTTI here.
Thanks to your attention to the survey, TTI’s response rate was 73%. Response rates above 50% suggest organizational soundness. We are pleased that TTI continues to rank well above the organizations we are benchmarked against in every category. Our overall score increased from 392 in 2010 to 401 in 2012. (Typical overall scores range from 325 to 375).
In addition, in nine of the 12 individual categories, our responses are higher than they were in the 2010 survey. In individual categories, scores above 350 indicate that employees perceive the issue more positively than negatively, while scores above 375 indicate substantial strength. It is safe to say that other state agencies would be delighted to have our survey results.
While we had excellent results, we can always do better and will continually strive to improve our scores in all areas. Please take a few minutes review the survey results. If you have any questions, please contact either me or Anna Jo Mitchell.
