Ms. Marcie Perez is an Associate Research Scientist with the Center for Transportation Safety at Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). She has over 15 years of experience working with Texas crash data and is the primary source for TxDOT’s Crash Record Information System (CRIS) data within TTI.
She is responsible for the data analysis for multiple projects annually including the Texas Strategic Highway Safety Plan and several TxDOT District Strategic Highway Safety Plans. She has extensive knowledge related to CRIS data. She has utilized Microsoft Power BI to visualize and investigate data using which has become a standard practice at TTI. She has experience linking crash data with other data sets, including census, education, medical, and roadway inventory data.
