Class Qualifications

Is the MIP class for me?

If you have received one of the following citations, you may use this state-approved course to obtain 6 hours of alcohol awareness education:

  • Minor in Possession
  • Minor in Consumption
  • Driving Under the Influence
  • Attempt to Purchase
  • Purchase
  • Public Intoxication
  • Misrepresentation of Age

Will this MIP class fulfill drug education requirements?

Dates and Times

Next MIP Class
April 28 & 29, 2015 5:30 – 8:30pm

MIP classes are scheduled on a month-to-month basis and in conjunction with instructor availability and level of public interest.

Registered participants will be emailed approximately one week before the course is scheduled to begin with the location of the course as well as pertinent attendance information.

Please note, registration for this class will close at 12:00am the Monday prior to the first day of the course.

What if I need to complete an MIP class before the next scheduled class?

Registration Requirements

All participants must enroll online. During the online registration process, participants will be required to complete a biographical form and alcohol/drug profile form.

You will also be able to pay for the course at this time. Credit card payment is required before participants will receive further course information.

Registration will close the Monday before the class is scheduled to begin at 12:00am. No exceptions to this deadline will be made.

Please note, if a participant is less than 16 years of age: a legal guardian’s electronic signature and contact information is required for approval. Final registration will not be processed without this information.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

If you have registered for the class but need to either reschedule or cancel, you must notify the CADES office 3 business days in advance of the first class date. Otherwise, there is a $15 fee for rescheduling or cancellation.

What if I lost my receipt?

We are happy to provide a copy of your receipt, but there is a $15 fee for each receipt replacement.
