Delta-T Makes Recommendations for Representing Research

May 25, 2012

The 2011 Delta-T Leadership Class presented a Research Development Seminar May 24, detailing its study of new ways TTI research results can be presented to the public.

The class project, Evolving Our Research Deliverables, examined the use of video, webinars and other methods — including the use of social media — to reach a broader audience. Members emphasized that these new methods for representing research results aren’t aimed at replacing traditional research reports and project summaries. Part of the process would be to find the best outreach method for each project.

In the future, members say that these non-traditional deliverables could become part of the contract with sponsors. Delta-T members have recommended the formation of an implementation team and the development of a pilot program.

The 2011 Delta-T class, the fourth such class since its inception in 2008, included Steve Farnsworth, Duane Wagner, Arif Chowdhury, Joe Dunn, Reza Farzaneh, Kevin Hall, Brad Hoover, Nauman Sheikh, LuAnn Theiss, Brooke Ullman, Mike Vickich and Hong Yu. | Delta-T Report — Evolving Our Research Deliverables
