The Global Level Crossing and Trespass Symposium is a biennial event that brings together engineering, safety and security professionals from highway, rail, law enforcement and regulatory authorities around the world. The symposium provides an opportunity to exchange information and share best practices to improve the safety of the at‐grade interface between highway and rail systems. The Texas A&M Transportation Institute is one of the sponsors of the symposium.
Organizers of the symposium are soliciting papers and presentation covering a broad range of topics in the areas of engineering, education, enforcement, evaluation, encouragement and emergency response. The deadline for discounted early registration ends July 1, 2014.
This year’s event will be held in Urbana, IL, from August 3-8. For more information including registration, please visit the symposium website.
