Applications are now being accepting for a 10-week summer internship program at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). The internship is sponsored by two USDOT funded University Transportation Centers: the Advancing Transportation Leadership and Safety (ATLAS) Center, a partnership between TTI and the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute; and Safe-D, a partnership between TTI, Virginia Tech Transportation Institute and San Diego State University.
Up to ten junior-level undergraduate students will be selected to participate. The internship will include active involvement in safety-related research projects at TTI with opportunities to interact with students in other summer research programs on the Texas A&M University campus and to participate in university-wide seminars, tours, poster sessions and other events.
Each student will be paired with a research staff or faculty member to work on an independent research topic that builds on the mentor’s project.
In recent years the ATLAS Center welcomed students from the University of Michigan, Texas A&M University, Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, and the University of Arkansas. Read about their experience on the ATLAS website.
The deadline to apply is March 31, 2017, at 5 p.m. CST. For applicant eligibility, participant requirements and more, see our full application.
