Jon Epps, executive associate director of the Texas Transportation Institute, was inducted into the National Asphalt Pavement Association’s (NAPA’s) Hot-Mix Asphalt Hall of Fame at the 56th annual meeting of the association in Orlando, Fla., last month.
The hall of fame was “established to recognize and honor individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the asphalt pavement industry leading to innovations in the production and placement of asphalt pavement, in the usage of asphalt as a paving material, and in the general advancement and recognition of the industry.”
“This is a true honor,” Epps told those attending the NAPA annual meeting. “While this award is directed toward an individual, I believe it is really a reflection on the people that I have had the good fortune to work with over the years.”
The honor recognizes Epp’s significant contributions to the asphalt pavement industry throughout his 40-year career.
