Considering the existing and forthcoming automated vehicle (AV) systems, states will need to be prepared to make the necessary adjustments to policies and laws, especially regarding public safety. Discussions presented in this report sought to provide an overview of the major issues, technologies, and local regulations surrounding vehicle crashes, particularly those that could be related to automated vehicles
