Abstract:
COVID-19 gave us an historic traffic hiatus, but the pause did not last long. The 2021 Urban Mobility Report provides a comprehensive analysis of traffic conditions in 494 urban areas across the United States. The report points to the need to consider a full range of mobility improvement strategies.
TTI's 2021 edition uses crowdsourced data from INRIX on urban streets and highways, along with highway inventory data from a Federal Highway Administration database. The report was sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation and the National Institute for Congestion Reduction.
