Abstract:
The purpose of the test reported herein was to assess the performance of the combination barrier system that consists of a bicycle railing mounted on top of a standard Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) concrete parapet according to the safety-performance evaluation guidelines included in the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware, Second Edition (MASH). The crash test was performed in accordance with MASH Test Level 4 (TL-4).
