Srinivas R. Geedipally is a Research Engineer in the Center for Transportation Safety at Texas A&M Transportation (TTI) and a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. He has more than 19 years of experience in traffic safety research and has participated in numerous traffic safety research projects with TxDOT, NCHRP, and FHWA. He is the co-author of a recently published textbook
Highway Safety Analytics and Modeling, which contains all elements of highway safety data analysis in a single reference. He also co-authored a chapter in the textbook
Safe Mobility, and multiple chapters in the textbook
CrimeStat IV. He received his doctorate from Texas A&M University and has been with TTI since 2005. He has participated in numerous traffic safety research projects with state and federal governments and international sponsors. Dr. Geedipally is an advisory board member of the journal
Analytic Methods in Accident Research, handling editor of the journal
Transportation Research Record, and a current member of Transportation Research Board (TRB)
Standing Committee on Pedestrians. He has numerous papers published in high-standard international journals and conferences and has been a key contributor in the development of the
Highway Safety Manual. Dr. Geedipally is a two-time recipient of the young researcher award, winner of best paper award, and a Fred Burggraf award winner from the TRB.
