As an Associate Research Scientist at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), I specialize in cross-border mobility, innovative transportation finance, and advanced data analytics. I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with expertise in parking demand modeling and machine learning applications in transportation. In my current position, I lead multiple research initiatives analyzing cross-border travel patterns using advanced machine learning algorithms and crowdsourced data, while developing creative funding mechanisms for transportation projects.

My research portfolio spans several key areas, including cross-border mobility, where I lead projects analyzing international movement patterns. I develop innovative transportation finance solutions and conduct tax increment revenue analysis, while implementing machine learning algorithms for satellite imagery analysis and land development detection. My work also extends to infrastructure safety, particularly in roadway illumination research, and involves extensive stakeholder engagement through workshops and training sessions.

A significant aspect of my work involves translating complex research findings into practical applications. I've developed interactive dashboards for visualizing cross-border traffic patterns, created implementation toolkits for transportation financing mechanisms, and designed professional development programs for various stakeholders. Prior to joining TTI, I worked for eight years as a construction and maintenance project manager for Turkey's largest oil and gas company, providing me with a robust foundation in construction project management. This diverse background enables me to bring a unique perspective to transportation research and implementation projects.
