Summary of Experience

Madison Metsker-Galarza is an Assistant Research Scientist with the Texas A&M Transportation Institute’s Mobility Analysis program, where she has worked on a variety of projects including special events management/operations, public engagement design and implementation and performance measurement, multi-agency community transportation coordination, and bike and pedestrian support.

Madison’s expertise includes special event management proving on the ground support for Texas A&M football gamedays and planning support for the over 200 special events hosted by Texas A&M University each year. Madison has worked closely with university, city, and state agency staff to develop congestion mitigation strategies, safe pedestrian routes, efficient shuttle routes and parking locations, and fan and community engagement strategies to enhance the gameday experience. Madison’s ability to work in high stress operational environments comes from her experience with city and university emergency management services to create real-time solutions during special events to provide a safer and better customer experience. She also has extensive experience conducting intentional public engagement through community construction projects, strategic planning efforts, and multi-agency coordination. Madison’s operational experience also comes from her three years of employment with a university transportation agency. Through her project management role, she led numerous groundbreaking projects from the acquisition of 35 new buses and the university’s first 3 electric buses, migrating physical parking permits to virtual permits for the entire university, and leading the department’s strategic planning effort. Her ability to develop solutions with the people they are intended to serve, make her an asset in the transportation industry ensuring equitable, safe, and accessible transportation is available.
