Sasha Tanner has recently stepped into the world of transportation safety, particularly relevant to impaired driving research and policy. In May 2025, she graduated summa cum laude at Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Anthropology where she developed interests, knowledge, and skills in social sciences and cultural disciplines.
Additionally, Ms. Tanner has experience within federal-level natural and cultural resources before she transitioned to the Center for Drug and Alcohol Education Studies (CADES) at TTI. She is now studying for a Master of International Affairs with a special track in National Security and Diplomacy at A&M's Bush School of Government and Public Service, introducing globally mindful abilities in data analysis, research, public relations, economy, government processes, and policy development. These have been especially useful for her role at TTI as a graduate student worker.
Ms. Tanner is responsible for assisting team efforts in building proposals, conducting a qualitative study on public opinions towards impaired driving, drafting the 24/7 Sobriety Program Operational Manual, preparing research questions and ideas for DWI pipelines, writing blog posts for educational and informative purposes, analyzing changing cannabis policies, and searching for grant opportunities in Texas and nationwide.
