Courtney Hrncir joined the CADES team in July 2021 as a Research Specialist. Since then, she has contributed to a variety of projects focused on public safety and behavioral health, including studies on blood alcohol concentration (BAC) reporting practices, ignition interlock device usage, treatment and referral services for impaired drivers with mental health and substance use conditions, and pedestrian and bicyclist safety on Texas college campuses. She also supports the 24/7 Sobriety Monitoring Project. Her work includes facilitating stakeholder and community outreach trainings, managing applications for professional continuing education credits, conducting focus group discussions, developing educational reference guides, and reporting on project deliverables.
Courtney’s dedication to preventing impaired-driving crashes and fatalities, and to promoting behavioral health, is deeply personal—rooted in her own experiences witnessing the impact of alcohol-impaired driving on those close to her.
Prior to joining CADES, Ms. Hrncir served as a Program Specialist with the Engineering Professional Education team at the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station. In that role, she managed professional development course registrations, communications, and program administration.
She brings expertise in community needs assessment, program planning and evaluation, data analysis, and grant writing. Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Texas A&M University in 2017.
