Jack Edward Merritt is an Associate Transportation Researcher Student Worker in the Multimodal Freight Program at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. He has one and a half years of experience at TTI, working on a variety of research topics including hazardous materials, community railroad safety, emergency planning, autonomous vehicle safety and the implications on emergency responders, and highway-rail grade crossings. These projects have supported the efforts of the Texas Division of Emergency Management, the Texas Department of Transportation, and local emergency management personnel.
