After retiring from a rewarding career as an educator in Georgia, I currently serve as a Program Specialist III at Texas A&M University TTI Youth Transportation Safety Teens in the Driver Seat Program. Under general supervision, I perform moderately complex administrative and supervisory work to support the development and success of university programs.
In this role, I am responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a variety of specialized programs, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and meetings. I ensure these initiatives align with institutional goals by coordinating program logistics, overseeing communications and marketing efforts, and evaluating program effectiveness through detailed reporting and assessment.
My responsibilities also include interpreting and enforcing policies, preparing and managing budgets, and recommending improvements to program procedures and regulations. I work closely with staff to resolve program challenges and supervise assigned personnel to ensure high standards of service delivery.
I hold a master’s and bachelor's degree in education from Geogia Southern University and bring over thirty-five years of related experience to this position. I am proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. My ability to multitask, attention to detail, and commitment to collaboration enable me to contribute meaningfully to the mission of Texas A&M University.
