Mahin Ramezani is a Research Data Scientist in the Center for Transportation Safety at Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). She received her Master of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M University. She worked as a graduate research assistant at the Population Informatics Lab, School of Public Health, Texas A&M Health Science Center during her study. Her master’s thesis was about record linkage, which is identifying the same entities across one or more databases when there is no unique identifier. She is proficient in Python, R, SQL, Java, and JavaScript, with expertise in deep learning, data wrangling, and big data analysis. She has experience working with large datasets such as connected vehicle and crash data, particularly in the Azure Databricks environment. Since joining TTI in 2021, Mahin has contributed to various projects related to big data analytics, connected vehicle safety, driving behavior analysis, and NLP-based crash narrative analysis. She has also supported the analysis of crash diagrams using advanced machine learning models to enhance understanding and promote transportation safety.
