Short Biography
Jorge Maldonado is a Computer Science Engineer and a Software Applications Developer at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. His major areas of expertise include developing information systems for the world wide web, database management, mobile applications development, and virtual reality software development.
For developing information systems for the world wide web, he has experience with ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX and RESTful services, as well as PostgreSQL and SQL Server for database management. For mobile and virtual reality software development, he has experience using Xamarin, Unity 3D and C#.
At TTI, Jorge has worked on a research project that analyses and identifies spatial and temporal trends in the occurrence of crashes on Texas highways, focusing on potential environmental factors.
Currently, he works on the development of a web application for automating, managing and organizing utility conflicts records involved in all districts of Texas. Additionally, he is working on a project that focuses on the guidance for the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) during suboptimal environmental conditions for traffic incident management initiatives.
