Short Biography
Ms. Sears has 21 years of administrative experience and joined the Texas A&M Transportation Institute in 2015. She currently serves as a Senior Administrative Coordinator II in the Office of the Director and holds a Professional Administrative Certificate of Excellence (PACE) and a CVENT Hybrid Event Certification.
Ms. Sears supports three Executive Associate Directors with administrative duties including scheduling, producing course materials, word processing, research deliverables submissions, travel planning and expense submissions in Concur, and other duties as needed. She assists the Director of Administration with office administration needs for the department, including entering monthly payroll, managing the departmental ProCard, and monitoring monthly account verifications. She manages office operations, including supervising two student workers, ordering office supplies, and managing departmental AggieBuy invoices and requisitions, as well as inventory control.
With expertise in on-site, virtual, and hybrid events, Ms. Sears assists various TTI offices with on-site and off-site meetings and events. She also assists the TTI Events Management Division with large- and small-scale events held throughout Texas.
Among her awards and recognitions, Ms. Sears has received the 2020 TTI Herbert H. Richardson Team Award, the 2018 TTI Professional Support Award, and the 2015 Texas A&M University President’s Meritorious Service Award. She also has completed the Leadership Enhancement and Development CORE and CONNECT programs at TTI.
Prior to joining TTI, Ms. Sears worked at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine, Large Animal Clinical Sciences, starting as a student worker and working her way up to a Lead Office Assistant and then an Office Associate/Staff Graduate Advisor. She was also one of the founding members of the Veterinary Emergency Response Team.
