Bahar Dadashova, Ph.D. is a research scientist and program manager at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), where she leads the Performance Evaluation Program and serves as Graduate Faculty in the Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. She has more than 15 years of experience leading federally and state-funded projects that collectively exceed $7 million in research funding from FHWA, NCHRP, TxDOT, EPA, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Her work advances transportation safety and operational performance, particularly for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists. Recognized with multiple awards—including TTI’s Best Researcher Award (2022) and TRB’s Best Paper Award (2019)—she has published extensively in top journals and is actively involved in various professional organizations and initiatives including Transportation Research Board, American Statistical Association and National Collaboration for Bicycle, Pedestrian and Accessibility Infrastructure Data. Through her leadership in transportation research, editorial boards, and national committees, she is shaping the future of roadway safety, operations, and data-driven transportation policy while mentoring the next generation of transportation professionals.
