Short Biography
Dr. Souza works in the Environmental Modeling Program at TTI, focusing
on environment, hydrology, and GIS. He uses his skills to analyze large datasets and run high-performance simulations that help sponsors understand complex issues. His experience with programming and statistical tools allows him to handle different kinds of data and adjust analyzes as needed. Before joining TTI, Dr. Souza was a postdoc at the Federal University of Pernambuco, University of São Paulo, and Texas A&M. Over five years, he gained valuable experience in fieldwork, experimental design, sensor development, and modeling. His work has been published in many scientific journals. At TTI, Dr. Souza contributes to research projects on the resilience of Texas transportation system, focusing on road disruptions and how they affect freight networks, especially during hurricanes
