Ms. Hudson has been involved with research activities at TTI since 2001, with a major area of emphasis on Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning and Safety as well as Roadway Congestion Management and Crash Analysis. Her main sponsors include TxDOT, the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and the City of Austin.
Ms. Hudson has 25 years of experience as a traffic engineer, 11 of those with the City of Austin's Transportation Division, where she gained experience in almost every function of the division including bicycle, pedestrian, child safety, data collection, signal synchronization, transportation system management, traffic control studies and neighborhood traffic calming.
Ms. Hudson is a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, License No. 80624. She is a 1989 Texas A&M University graduate with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She completed her M.S. in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in 2008.
