Technical and Planning Policy

TTI’s Rail Research Group has a dedicated staff of researchers with experience in technical and planning policy issues at the state and federal level.

Description

As transportation enters the 21st century, the policies that govern our nation’s rail system have become increasingly complex. Transportation planners from metropolitan planning organizations, state departments of transportation, and other federal and local officials face problems such as financing as they tackle the emerging issue of how to do more with less.

The Texas Transportation Institute’s (TTI) Rail Research Group has a dedicated staff of researchers with experience in technical and planning policy issues at the state and federal level. Finding practical solutions to complex policy issues is the core mission of TTI’s Rail Research.
