What We Do
Listen and Investigate
We get that data can be hard. That’s why we are constantly scanning for new and innovative data sources and methods that can bring deeper insight to tough transportation problems.
Evaluate and Iterate
Obtaining an accurate view of a problem requires quality data. We use the best data available through thorough evaluation and iterative collaboration with data providers. Our focus on data quality assurance and quality control research and techniques ensures the data meet our high standards.
Innovate to Solve Problems
We find new ways to simplify, understand, and solve complex transportation problems, so we can then translate theory into actionable insights for everyone.
Analyze and Produce
We fuse and analyze data and information using a broad spectrum of methodologies and innovative approaches. Our goal is to produce actionable, timely, and usable information that broadens the planning and decision-making discussion.
Share and Inform
We want to ensure the world has the best information to make informed transportation planning decisions. So, we work to make data accessible and digestible to all audiences in a way that makes big data seem small.

Our Work

Texas' Top 100 Congested Roadway Segments
Identifying the most congested roadways in Texas, the Top 100 Congested Road Segments Report helps state leaders prioritize critical mobility improvements. Using the latest traffic data, the report tracks where delays are rising and how congestion affects drivers, shippers, and the Texas economy.

Urban Mobility Report
Providing a clear picture of traffic congestion in 494 urban areas across the United States, the Urban Mobility Report helps decision-makers understand where delays occur and how to fix them. Backed by the latest crowdsourced data, it offers practical solutions for reducing gridlock nationwide.

Texas Bicycle and Pedestrian Count Exchange (BP|CX)
TTI partnered with TxDOT to develop the Texas Bicycle and Pedestrian Count Exchange, making it easier to manage and share active transportation data statewide. This collaborative system helps communities improve planning by providing access to reliable, consistent count data.

Maryland Roadway Performance Tool
The Maryland Roadway Performance Tool (MRPT) is a planning tool for analyzing and monitoring congestion bottlenecks for all vehicles and trucks that use Maryland’s major roadways.

Truck Congestion Analysis Tool
The Truck Congestion Analysis Tool (TCAT) is a web-based product that allows the user access to annual truck-based traffic congestion statistics on the majority of roads in Texas from 2017 to present.

Congestion Management Process Assessment Tool
The Congestion Management Process Analysis Tool (COMPAT) is a web-based product that allows the user access to annual traffic congestion statistics on the majority of roads in an individual Texas metropolitan area.

Texas Truck Parking
This tool captures truck parking events by location, roadways and corridors, and timing (month and time of day) and presents the information in an interactive map and data summary tables. The tool also presents truck parking information for TxDOT owned safety rest areas and includes reports on truck parking issues.
