Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) Division Head and Senior Research Scientist Robert Brydia has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America). A longtime member of ITS America and past president of the Texas chapter, Brydia’s three-year appointment will begin Jan. 1, 2025.
The ITS America Board is composed of industry leaders in intelligent transportation who help shape policy and guide the association’s strategic direction. Its officers and board members represent a diverse group of senior-level executives from private companies and public agencies across the mobility, technology and ITS sectors. Together, they work to advance ITS America’s vision of a safer, greener and smarter future for all.
“I’m excited to join the ITS America Board and work with such an incredible group of industry leaders to help shape the future of transportation,” says Brydia. “As a technologist, engineer and deployer, serving on the board is a wonderful opportunity to continue to advance the profession and strive for transportation solutions that make a real-world difference for people everywhere.”
Brydia, who serves as TTI’s System Reliability Division head, brings over 35 years of experience in transportation operations, technology and project leadership. Since joining TTI in 1996, he has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership, driving success for people and projects at every level of federal, state and local sponsorship.
