Planning is underway for the 2015 Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) Summit on May 17-19 in San Antonio, Texas. Car crashes are the number one killer of youth in America. The TDS Summit will showcase student leaders in bringing awareness about this problem to their peers, families and communities.
This year’s Summit will kick off with a Sunday evening Reception for all conference attendees. The Summit also includes a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit workshop for teachers, interactive exhibits, breakout sessions and an awards luncheon honoring the 2014-2015 TDS award winners. Teens in the Driver Seat is also excited to welcome participation from Celebrate My Drive Schools, as the result of a new partnership with State Farm.
The CPE workshop will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. and will focus on the top five driving risks that contribute to the number one cause of teen deaths in America: car crashes. This CPE workshop will provide 1.5 credit hours. Sign-up is limited to the first 25 adults. Registration for the TDS Summit is required to participate in this special session. To sign up, contact Lisa Minjares at [email protected].
There’s still time to submit applications for Sponstar awards and apply to be on the 2015-2016 Teen Advisory Board. Applications will be accepted until March 6.
