TTI Requests Input Regarding Transportation Reinvestment Zones

February 20, 2015

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is requesting input from county and city officials regarding Transportation Reinvestment Zones (TRZ) (this does not include County Energy Transportation Reinvestment Zones).  The purpose of the study is to identify the advantages, disadvantages and lessons learned by local governments and other agencies that have considered or may be utilizing TRZ financing.

“We would like to learn more about the experience that counties have had with TRZs and identify any positive or negative issues that may have impacted their individual community’s willingness or ability to use this financing mechanism,” said TTI Senior Research Scientist Rafael Aldrete. “Their participation will be used to identify opportunities for improvements in the legislation as it now stands.”

For more information on the study contact Rafael Aldrete.
