December 21, 2017

Greg Winfree
TTI Agency Director Greg Winfree

Greg Winfree, agency director of the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), has been appointed to the board of directors of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America).

ITS America “promotes public and regulatory policies that advance the development and deployment of intelligent transportation technologies throughout the United States,” by supporting research, deployment and public policy related to intelligent transportation systems. Established in 1991, ITS America membership includes public agencies, private businesses, academia and research institutions.

“ITS America has a rich history in providing leadership in the intelligent transportation systems space, and I am honored to be appointed to its board of directors,” Winfree said. “I was involved in the organization previously in my role at the USDOT, and look forward to representing TTI and helping advance the development and deployment of intelligent transportation technologies throughout the United States.”

Winfree joins five other new members to the 2018 ITS America Board of Directors.
