Short Biography
Mr. Crawford joined TTI in 1990 and has over 27 years of progressively responsible experience. He has developed a diverse research portfolio over that time. Mr. Crawford is the Research & Implementation division head overseeing the Arlington, Dallas, Houston, and Waco offices with a combined staff of 26 professionals. He has more than 23 years of experience in fields of transportation/air quality and transportation planning, and over 10 years experience acting as a mobility coordinator for high profile construction projects. He continues his role as a mobility coordinator providing the Texas Department of Transportation oversight assistance on public-private partnership and traditionally-let projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He has authored white papers on mobility and transportation operations innovations delivered by Texas 3P projects.
Mr. Crawford has extensive experience in analysis procedures and data needs for post-process methods used for air quality benefits estimation. He has thorough understanding of statewide data collection and analysis processes related to meeting state and federal reporting requirements. Mr. Crawford also has knowledge of cash forecasting methods and direct experience with TxDOT-specific processes within the agency’s cash forecasting program. Finally, Mr. Crawford has served as a mobility coordinator since 2007 for several high profile construction projects with roles from a technical resource to a public liaison to a project ombudsman. He is skilled at conducting interviews, workshops, and focus groups. He has developed reader-friendly guidebooks and highly technical research reports. Mr. Crawford is also a certified National Highway Institute instructor.
