Short Biography
Dr. Minjie Xu is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Health and Sustainability Program within the Air Quality, Energy, and Health Division at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). The Health and Sustainability Program focuses on research that informs the interaction between transportation and public health. He is also associated with TTI's Center for Advancing Research in Transportation Emissions, Energy, and Health (CARTEEH).
Minjie has more than 7 years of research experience on projects that investigate contemporary and interdisciplinary urban issues related to the built environment and health, public transportation, housing and sustainable community development. Before joining TTI, he worked as an Assistant Research Scientist in the Center for Health Systems & Design at Texas A&M University. As an interdisciplinary researcher and data scientist, Minjie particularly interested in research that is transportation-based, health-focused, equitable, utilizes innovative technology, promotes active living, quantifies health outcomes from transportation system, and links people, places, health, and travel behavior in a sustainable environment.
