Short Biography
Dr. Mohammad Askariyeh is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). He serves as a Data Scientist in the Data Analysis and Visualization Program at TTI. He has more than 12 years of experience in research on transportation-related modelings, data analysis, applications of integrated data systems, and visual data analytics. He has authored numerous scientific journal and technical papers and book chapters. He has led or been involved in many projects focusing on statistical and geospatial analysis of transportation data, and regulatory air quality analysis.
During his career, he has utilized what he has learned in different graduate-level programs in engineering management, applied statistics, data science, geographic information systems, and civil engineering. His developed methodology for analysis and making air quality data widely available online was recognized by National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2019. He has also taught courses such as “Computer Applications in Engineering” at Texas A&M University.
