Short Biography

Mr. Joshua Bell is a Research Specialist II in the Environmental Testing Facilities at TTI. He joined TTI in 2025 with 7 years of prior experience in environmental research.

His role at the Sediment and Erosion Control Lab (SEC Lab) includes working on various projects involving vegetation management, stormwater control, herbicide use, pollinator and wildlife conservation, and full-scale testing of sediment and erosion control products. The SEC Lab is located at the RELLIS campus of Texas A&M University and delivers a leading research and evaluation program focused on roadside environmental management for the transportation industry.

Before joining TTI, Mr. Bell was a Senior Scientist at an environmental consulting firm. He gained diverse experience in water, soil and biological analysis, regulatory compliance, and data analysis. Mr. Bell worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from water recycling in the oil and gas industry to contested cases involving wastewater treatment plants.

Mr. Bell's publications and areas of interest are in water chemistry and pollutant degradation. He is an active member of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), American Chemical Society (ACS), and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).
