Short Biography
Melisa Finley is a Senior Research Engineer and the Program Manager of the Work Zone and Dynamic Signs Program in the Transportation Operations and Roadway Safety Division of the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). In her 24-year full-time career at TTI, Ms. Finley has been a principal investigator or key researcher on 57 studies relating to work zone safety and operations, wrong-way driving, connected vehicles, traffic control measures and devices, and STEM K-12 educational outreach. Ms. Finley has led projects totaling almost $15 million in research funding, authored over 55 reports, published 30 peer-reviewed papers in the Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, and made numerous presentations on her research findings at TRB meetings, ITE meetings, ATSSA meetings, and other venues. Ms. Finley has also organized and coordinated many workshops and conference sessions. She is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
