Short Biography

Ms. Lisa Patke joined the Texas A&M Transportation Institute in 1985. She serves as the senior administrative coordinator for the Houston Region Research and Implementation group as well as other groups housed in Houston. She has considerable experience in purchasing, travel planning, project financial management, service centers, report preparation, meeting and event coordination and support, hiring procedures, payroll, and streamlining operations. Ms. Patke is responsible for day-to-day office operations, the tracking and monthly reconciliation of expenditures, and the preparation of bi-weekly and monthly payroll. She also serves as the accountable property officer for the Houston group, overseeing a large inventory of computer, video, and traffic-related equipment, as well as the vehicle custodian and the primary office, program, and building liaison. Other responsibilities include project support; assistance with the final proofing and production of research deliverables; preparation of meeting minutes for board meetings; and facility management. She completed the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program training, a web-based ethics training course, to assist with conducting research with human subjects.
