Short Biography
Mr. Luke Albert is a traffic engineer with broad experience in traffic operations and transportation engineering. Prior to joining TTI in the summer of 2020 he worked as a private transportation engineering consultant for nearly 7 years and as a City Traffic Engineer for over 13 years.
Since joining TTI Mr. Albert has been heavily involved in mobility analysis and access management projects. He assisted with the FHWA pooled fund project, Support for Urban Mobility Analyses (SUMA) and Urban Mobility Report. In addition, he has provided technical input on access management projects throughout the state of Texas.
As the City Traffic Engineer in Goodyear, Arizona, he oversaw traffic management, traffic operations, pavement management, street maintenance, and street sweeping divisions. He is a champion of enhancing traffic signal operations through technology advancement and oversaw the development and installation of approximately 50 miles of fiber optic communication that connected the City's traffic signals to the Traffic Management Center. He also participated in the review of private development projects to ensure that proper access management and traffic safety were incorporated into project plans. He was involved in the development of the event traffic management plan for Spring Training and other major events at the Goodyear Ballpark. Mr. Albert frequently engaged with the public regarding traffic concerns and oversaw the City’s neighborhood traffic management program. He is a registered professional engineer in Arizona and Texas and is also registered as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.
