Short Biography
Dr. Monsreal is a full-time research scientist at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. He has extensive work on topics such as: Agent-based simulation and modeling, freight fluidity performance measures, freight strategies implementations, risk assessment in global supply chains, urban distribution, AutoID integrated systems, object tracking and tracing, order variability, routing schemes, data coding and standardization, and logistics corridors. He also leads technology implementation initiatives and working on cross-border and data intensive analyses.
Dr. Monsreal accounts for more than 20 years of experience in logistics and supply chain, with direct field hands-on experience in companies such as BEPENSA Coca-Cola, Reckitt & Colman (Retail and Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry), Holcim (Cement Industry) and FEMSA (Beverages Industry) among others.
He has been the technical lead for European projects at the Auto Identification Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Global Scale Network Center - Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC), Spain. He also had responsibilities as manager for Latin American projects within the same institution (ZLC).
He was the Director of the Latin-American Center of Logistics Innovation-México (CLI-México).
