Short Biography
Brittney Gick is an Associate Transportation Researcher with the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) in Arlington, Texas. She has over ten years of experience in transportation research at the state and metropolitan levels. Throughout her professional career, her major research areas have been pavements, freight, metropolitan planning, and emerging technologies, such as automated vehicles and electric buses.
Prior to joining TTI, she was an Associate Program Officer at the Transportation Research Board (TRB), where she supported standing committees in policy, freight, rail, and marine issues. She also helped plan many specialty conferences on the same topics. Prior to joining TRB, she was the Asphalt Lab Manager at the Indiana Department of Transportation’s Division of Research and Development, where she completed asphalt and concrete research, and also completed expansive non-destructive bridge testing throughout the state. She maintains a Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
Brittney is active in several professional organizations. She currently serves as a Member of the TRB Standing Committee on Women and Gender in Transportation, where she leads the Young Member Outreach Team and serves as a member of the WTS Engagement Team. She currently serves as an Advisor for the WTS-DC Chapter and is a Member of the WTS-DFW Chapter, where she is focused on the advancement of women in transportation. She is also a member of Institute of Transportation Engineers, Greater Fort Worth, Texas Section.
