Abstract

The research provides a contemporary understanding of travel demand management (TDM) by evaluating emerging tools and programs, and how well these both capture the changes in travel behavior based on shifting demographics and emerging technologies in Texas. To achieve this goal, the report discusses how new technology can be leverages to influence demand, and analyzes demographic changes that are expected to influence changes in transportation demand. The report then ends with thoughts on the combined influences of both factors.
