Deployed Veterans Honored at TTI Day

Terri Parker at TTI Day
Terri Parker addresses TTI Day.

TTI staff honored three deployed veterans — an employee and two children of employees — at TTI Day by collecting care package donations. Cash and checks totaling $1,050 and three large boxes of snacks, personal items, books and games were collected, in addition to numerous thank-you cards that staff wrote to the veterans.

“The generosity of TTI’s staff is amazing,” saidTerri Parker, TTI’s military-friendly coordinator.  “We have so many items and so much cash that we are planning to send several care packages now and more this summer and fall.  Our veteran honorees will receive multiple packages from TTI and will have enough to share with their fellow marines and sailors.”

Our veteran honorees who will receive the TTI Day care packages include:

  • Stuart Denner (TTI safety coordinator) with the U.S. Navy, on board the USNS Comfort and serving in South America and the Caribbean;
  • Gabriel Martell with the U.S. Marine Corps (son of Candi Martell in the TTI Business Office), serving in Afghanistan; and
  • Christopher Reudelhuber with the U.S. Marine Corps (son of Janice Konecny in the TTI Business Office), serving in Afghanistan.

Thanks go to the following individuals who are assisting with the military-friendly effort, which is an initiative of The Texas A&M University System:  Colleen Dau, Linda Edge, Mike Guidry, Debbie Jasek, Nick McLarty and Becca Simons.
