Earlier this month, TTI sent care packages to a spouse and three children of employees who are currently deployed with the U.S. military:
- DeMuntz “De” Bowie, U.S. Army, serving in Afghanistan, husband of Anetra Bowie, TTI Event Management and Planning;
- John Henry, U.S. Army, serving in Afghanistan, son of John Henry, TTI Communications;
- Gabriel Martell, U.S. Marine Corps serving in Afghanistan, son of Candi Martell, TTI Business Office; and
- Christopher Reudelhuber, U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Afghanistan, son of Janice Konecny, TTI Business Office.
Each individual received two boxes—one with snacks, including candy, beef jerky, nuts and chewing gum, and another with personal and first-aid items, puzzle books and a Pro Football magazine.
Bowie has already received his packages and sent a thank-you email to Terri Parker, TTI’s military-friendly coordinator.
“I had stopped eating candy but you can forget about that,” said Bowie. “I appreciate the support for me and all the troops. It means a lot when you are so far away from home. Continue to pray for our safety as we work toward completing our mission abroad,” he said.
“The care packages were purchased using funds remaining from the TTI Day veterans care package fundraiser and our previous care package mailing in June,” said Parker. “We have about $200 left that we will put toward care packages for delivery around the Christmas season. Thank you to all the TTI staff for your continuing support of this effort.
Stuart Denner, TTI Safety Coordinator, has returned to the states from his deployment on board the USNS Comfort, serving in South America and the Caribbean. He is currently in Norfolk, Virginia, and will be back at TTI later this fall.
